GM and their divisions:  Chevy, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Saturn, Cadillac and HUMMER announced their new Total Confidence Program.  The Invest in America program will dovetail nicely with this program.  Credit Union members will continue to receive the supplier pricing along with the Total Confidence package including:

• A 100,000 mile/5-year powertrain warranty
• One year of OnStar on most GM vehicles
• Vehicle Value Protection-When a customer buys their next GM or GM division vehicle, this plan will pay any negative equity based on the difference between the outstanding principle loan balance and the NADA clean retail value of the vehicle up to $5,000 for trade-ins and up to $2,500 for private sales Payment Protection.
• If the customer loses their job for a covered reason during the first two years of ownership, they will make payments-up to $500 a month for up to 9 months.  The consumer must be employed at time of purchase and for 90 days after.

Our relationship with Chrysler remains strong as well.  For April, this program remains the best in the marketplace for credit union members as Chrysler has discontinued bonus cash programs for Chase and Chrysler Financial, leaving Invest in America as the logical solution.  For the month of April, Chrysler will be providing credit union members a $500 incentive on the following 2009 model year vehicles:  Chrysler 300C & 300 SRT8, Grand Cherokee (all models including SRT8), Commander, Sebring Convertible and Ram 1500 SLT/Sport/TRX & Laramie models.

Talks have continued with Ford and we hope to announce a program that will benefit both Ford and credit union members in the near future.
